Cold weather should improve but no quick fix

Hey there, time traveller!
This article was published 3/3/2014 (1269 days ago), so information in it may no longer be current.

Slowly but surely, things are starting to warm up.

The forecast for Winnipeg and the surrounding area today calls for increasing cloudiness this morning and a daytime high of -16 C. Tonight’s low is -29 C.

While that’s a far cry from where things should be for this time of year -- the normal high/low is -4 C and -14 C -- temperatures should start to climb later this week.

Tuesday’s high is -15 C. Wednesday looks to climb up to -11 C.

Looking further ahead, there is a 60 per cent chance of flurries on Thursday and a high of -10 C.

Normal temperatures are expected to settle into southern Manitoba over the weekend.
