RCMP are investigating after a 26-year-old school bus driver crashed her bus Friday morning west of St. Pierre.
The driver was the only person in the Red River School Division bus, which collided with a guard rail near the Rat River bridge shortly before 9 a.m. RCMP and local EMS responded to the incident, which occurred on Highway 205, west of St. Pierre in the RM of Desalaberry. The bus came to rest in the ditch.
The female driver was transported to the RM of Desalaberry Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Speed, alcohol and visibility have been ruled out as contributing factors in the collision, said RCMP, who continue to investigate.
