A man and a woman are facing charges after 76 marijuana plants were seized Saturday from a home in the rural municipality of Rockwood.

A man and a woman are facing charges after 76 marijuana plants were seized Saturday from a home in the rural municipality of Rockwood.

Police said Stonewall RCMP officers and the RCMP Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at a residence located east of Balmoral where they found the grow operation and took five people into custody.

In addition to the plants, drug paraphernalia and cash were also seized.

Terry Tronrud, 42, and Erin Tronrud, 41, have been charged with production of marijuana, possession for the purpose of trafficking marijuana and possession of proceeds of crime. They have both been released and will appear at an upcoming court date.

Balmoral is about 50 kilometres north of Winnipeg, west of Highway 7.
