Hey there, time traveller!

The sound of wind blowing, fires crackling, hooves stomping, water lapping and kids hollering.
Can you hear it?
That's the sound of summer camp, and for 11-year-old Ally Dunn and her nine-year-old sister, Samantha, it's the one thing they're looking forward to most this summer as they head to camp for their first time.
Come August, the sisters will spend a week on the lush grounds of Winkler Bible Camp, just outside of Winkler.
"I do wish it was a little bit sooner," say Ally.
"I'm excited. It'll be a fun new experience for me," says Samantha.
Ally, the ambitious Grade 6 student, says she's looking forward to testing out the camp's zip line -- a monster 100-metre thrill ride through the brush.
Samantha, meanwhile, wants to challenge the 10-metre rock-climbing wall.
This isn't the first time the two sisters have taken on the wilderness -- the Dunns make two family camping and hiking trips each year -- and despite the camp's name, the experience is not about religion, says their mother, Veronica.
It's about spirituality and a passion for the wilderness, which has been instilled in the two youngsters since an early age.
"I think being with nature is important. It makes you a more grounded person," Veronica says. "If you understand how everything is connected, you're more likely to invest in it and contribute to it as you get older."
Adds Ally: "I like going on the trails and being out in the wilderness. It's just really interesting to me. It's different, just sort of fresh."
The two have been eager to go to camp for a while now, but as a full-time University of Manitoba student, Veronica has found it hard to find the funds.
"They've been asking me to go for a couple of years. We just haven't been able to come up with the $400 extra for camp," she says.
Veronica first saw a posting for the Sunshine Fund at her school last year, but didn't sign up. This year, however, "I thought I have nothing to lose, so I applied this year," she says. "I think that a lot of camps cater to kids activity-wise, and also cater activities that help make kids be good people."
