INTERACTIVE: Manitoba's top greenhouse-gas emitters

Hey there, time traveller!
This article was published 20/6/2013 (1524 days ago), so information in it may no longer be current.

Manitoba has 14 plants whose emissions are big enough to earn a spot on Environment Canada's annual greenhouse gas inventory.

The 14 emitters represent one per cent of Canada's greenhouse gases, and even Manitoba's biggest polluter comes nowhere near the country's dirtiest point source, the Resolute pulp and paper mill in Alma, Que. It emitted 9.4 million tonnes of greenhouse gases in 2011.

The latest batch of emissions data, for the 2011 year, was just released. Here are the CO2 equivalent emissions, in tonnes, for Manitoba's top point sources.
