Hey there, time traveller!

With both kids in new jobs that have no extra time off, and thus unable to come home, we’ll be in Upper Canada with child the younger for Yule.
Meanwhile, I should have two lengthy education pieces running in the next few days to keep you entertained and world-class informed.
While the stories are chock-a-block with significant education issues, you won’t be reading any comment from Manitoba Liberal leader Rana Bokhari.
Regular readers (both of you) may recall a column a little while ago in which I noted that comment from the Tories and Liberals about the Selinger government’s education policies needed to be more substantive than "NDP evil — NDP really evil."
Granted, that may well be true, but as a stand-alone comment it doesn’t tell us what a Pallister or Bokhari government would do about our children’s education.
The Liberals had responded by telling me how eager they are to have a crack at commenting regularly.
So, three weeks ago now, I sent a general description of the issues being explored in the two lengthy stories to the Liberals, and invited comment. And back came an email acknowledging that the Grits had received my request and would be getting back to me.
And that’s the last I heard from the Liberals.
