Trudeau cabinet revealed
Re: Mihychuk, Carr among ministers in Trudeau's cabinet (Nov. 4). Hopefully having these two in cabinet will mean money for much-needed infrastructure projects in Winnipeg, including rapid transit.
Too bad we have a mayor who is still trying to figure out how to build the second leg of our first rapid-transit route so that it goes the wrong direction through empty fields.
Maybe the next route will make sense, with routing that isn't determined by developers and their cronies.

Congratulations to all. Let's hope they remember we elected them to represent us... not to become drunk with power and line their own pockets.
And so we enter a new era. Hopefully this government will be successful and build a stronger Canada — not just with Liberal MPs. This has to be collaborative.
@TakeItEasy, the odds of that happening have improved. It seems with our previous government, not only did they have to win, someone had to lose.
Manitoba gets two cabinet ministers — punching above our weight again.
Kind of a kick to the gut for Kevin Lamoureux, our lone Liberal MP for years.
Wow. Compared to the days of Vic Toews and Shelly Glover, it's like we've entered an age of progress and enlightenment.
Re: Trudeau, team of 30 cabinet members sworn in to kick off new Liberal era (Nov. 4). I truly hope Justin Trudeau will be the saviour many Canadians have pinned their hopes on.
I wish Prime Minister Trudeau and the Liberal caucus all the best in the coming years as they seek to successfully steer our country through these uncertain times.
@emcee51: I don't expect or hope that Trudeau has any "saviour" qualities, but I share your wish that he can "successfully steer our country through these uncertain times."
This cabinet looks like a relatively good start, with some talented people (both men and women).
@emcee51: Time will tell. As long as they keep hands in their own pockets.
@emcee51: He's already saved us from four more years of Stephen Harper — anything else is gravy.
