Guiding Minds Montessori opens for business

Guiding Minds Montessori has officially opened the doors to its Headingley home, located at 4945 Portage Ave.
On Jan 17, the private Montessori classroom — headed by longtime Montessori educator Angela Izzard — began its operations after a long period of planning and preparation. Beyond just working in Montessori classrooms, Izzard has gone as far as to travel to the original Montessori school — Casa dei Bambini, or Children’s House, in Rome — to immerse herself in learning Montessori methods.
Guiding Minds aims to create a safe, personalized learning experience for children aged 18 months to six years old. Although the school is already open, an official ribbon cutting ceremony will be held in April.
