City seeks input on Wellington Crescent bike lanes
Crescentwood
In the spring of 2026, the City of Winnipeg is planning to build temporary bike lanes on Wellington Crescent, between Academy Road (south of Maryland Bridge) and Stradbrook Avenue.
According to an official release, the “project is about making Wellington Crescent safer and more comfortable for people walking and biking. It will also fill an important gap in the cycling network.”
The city is calling on people who “live, work, and travel along Wellington Crescent” to provide feedback on how the proposed design. Feedback will help fine-tune the design and plan for a long-term solution.
A video on the project, as well as a survey, are available online until Dec. 12. Visit engage.winnipeg.ca/wellington-crescent-walk-bike-project for more information.
