Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue is a 100-per-cent, foster-home based, not-for-profit, charitable rescue with a mission to relieve animals in distress and animal suffering from overpopulation and/or abandonment, provide for the care, maintenance and rehabilitation of stray, abandoned and displaced animals in Manitoba and be a leader on matters that promote and improve the welfare of all animals through enhancement, protection, care and education.

Every two weeks, Manitoba Mutts highlights one or two of its animals available for adoption.

Hi! I’m Kassie. I’m a loving and easygoing girl who likes to go for long walks and be by your side. I am 100 per cent house-trained and fully crate-trained.

I am good with adult women – but haven’t been introduced to cats, kids, or other dogs yet. Because of this, I would prefer a home where I can be the queen of the castle, with no other animals or small children. I don’t like masculine voices or big dogs when I see them on my walks. Big dogs picked on me before I was rescued by the amazing people at Manitoba Mutts Dog Rescue.

My foster moms have been helping me to expand my comfort zone. So far I have mastered going up and down stairs, walking on a leash, coming when my name is called, going for car rides, and adjusting to a feeding and potty routine. I am very polite and love to have my ears scratched. If you forget to pet me, I will remind you.

I would do best with a fenced yard. On our walks, I like to smell everything and track bunnies or squirrels. I don’t pull on my leash and I listen to my foster mom if we need to change direction. I don’t bark but you will hear some noises from me if I need something.

I will keep you company and show you all my favorite toys. I chew the bones my foster mom gives me. I have never destroyed anything in the house or car. I would love to get to know you and show you how adaptable I am.
