DESCRIPTION:Led by Brazilian guitarist Emmanuel Bach\, this trio brings together the sophistication of modern jazz with the rhythmic richness of Brazilian music. Emmanuel\, originally from Brazil and now a key figure in the Winnipeg jazz scene\, holds a master’s degree from the University of Manitoba\, and currently teaches jazz guitar students and ensembles there. He has released three albums as a leader and performed with legends like Airto Moreira\, Flora Purim\, and Ivan Lins.  \nEach Saturday night performance features an opening set by the trio\, with two of Canada’s most in-demand musicians: Fabio Ragnelli (drums) and Karl Kohut (bass)\, followed by a set with a different special guest each week. (This week is pianist Carter Graham.)
