Hundreds of guests turned out for an annual fundraising dinner that forms part of Dakota Collegiate’s Alumni Field Capital Campaign at Canad Inns Destination Centre Polo Park on April 10. At the event, Coun. Brian Mayes (St. Vital) and Coun. Janice Lukes (St. Norbert) announced a grant of up to $600,000 from city funds in 2017 for the project. “City funds will be provided on a matching basis for any funds raised by Dakota from private donors or other governments,” Mayes said.
