The Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service is reminding community members to be careful around bodies of water in the city.
On Oct. 7, WFPS water rescue crews responded to reports of two individuals trapped in the mud at the edge of the Red River near St. Boniface Hospital. Both people were rescued and taken to hospital — one in unstable condition and the other in stable condition.
Current water temperatures can quickly cause hypothermia and injury, officials say.
