Some 16,000 students from all over Manitoba filled MTS Centre in Winnipeg for WE Day on Nov. 18. WE Day is part of WE, a movement co-founded by Craig and Marc Kielburger that brings people together and gives them the tools to change the world globally and locally. It does so by encouraging young people to take the WE Pledge to try to make a difference every day, and by offering project support and inspiration to schools across Canada and the world. Performers and speakers at WE Day included Paula Abdul, Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield, musician Jully Black, and mental health activist Margaret Trudeau. Students inspired by WE will be involved in activities and change projects through their schools and in their communities throughout the year.<\/div>\n<\/p>\n
