This has changed the look of the complex, giving it a new and vibrant appearance.<\/p>\n
You can see there was a desire to offer many food choices to hungry patrons.<\/p>\n
New shops have been added to old favourites. Joey’s Seafood Grill, Dairy Queen, and Pizza Hut remain.<\/p>\n
But now, after watching a movie at Cinema City Northgate, you can now head to Tim Hortons for a late-night latte and a freshly-baked donut, or a Greek salad and more at the new Opa! franchise. Also getting a round of applause these days is Jollibee’s Chicken and Kawaii Crepes with their imaginative menu. A Booster Juice outlet is also a newcomer to the site.<\/p>\n
The anchor tenant, Save-On-Foods, features Starbucks coffee as well as ready-cooked meals. While you’re there, you can do some savvy grocery shopping.<\/p>\n
The reconstructed mall, which fell on hard times after Zellers left, offers some necessary services. There’s an RBC bank, Reider Insurance outlet, an ATM machine and the Northgate Car Wash. For a few loonies you can do it yourself. Many former shops have renewed leases: Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy, Dollarama, Magicuts Salon, Pro Nails and Petro Canada. For exercise enthusiasts, there is a new 25,000-square-foot gym.<\/p>\n
The lot is a maze of criss-cross roads which force you to focus on your driving. Parking is at a premium and you can’t help notice that this once-empty lot has changed into an especially busy marketplace.<\/p>\n
The goal of the out-of-province family that owns the 250,000-square-foot property is to create a stand-alone development which will become a “community within a community.” <\/p>\n
I believe they have succeeded.<\/p>\n
