\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe team at St. Vital Dental Centre is currently led by Dr. Terry James, who owns the business with his wife, Charlene Nuzyka. James’ grandfather, Ian Stephen, started the business. James took over the practice from his mother, Lori Stephen-James, in 2018.<\/p>\n
James, who lives in Island Lakes, said one of the main reasons for the move to the new, larger space is that it’s more convenient for his patients. The new digs are located on a single floor of Avondale Road and St. Anne’s, making the building more accessible to clients and staff. Also, there is more parking now, with a parking lot at the rear, as well as on-street parking close by.<\/p>\n
“We wanted a more convenient location for our patients,” James told The Lance<\/em> recently, adding he has certain patients who have visited the practice since it first opened.<\/p>\n “At our former location, our stairs were difficult for some of our elderly clients to (climb), and St. Mary’s and St. Anne’s is also a busy intersection.”<\/p>\n The team recently welcomed a new pair of helping hands — associate dentist Dr. Sarah Adamson, a University of Manitoba graduate who also did a residency at McGill University in Montreal.<\/p>\n One of the best things about the practice, James said, is continuing to foster a sense of community and getting to know his clients better.<\/p>\n “Being a parent of two young girls myself, I appreciate the importance of family more than ever, and the practice is geared to people of all ages,” James, a University of Minnesota graduate, said.<\/p>\n “Over time, we get to know our families and what they do. I really enjoy getting to know our patients,” he added, noting he ideally wanted to stay in the Old St. Vital area for the sake of his clients and staff. <\/p>\n And with the foundation for the future now solidified, James remains happy about the prospective road ahead.<\/p>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t
