“We opened Rave Massage as a new clinic in 2014 and we have been in the same location the entire time. Prior to relocating back to Manitoba, we owned and operated a physio- and massage therapy clinic in Alberta.”<\/p>\n
I next asked how many people were employed at Rave, and whether these numbers been affected by the pandemic.<\/p>\n
“We have just under 30 employees, including both receptionists and registered massage therapists, which is down slightly over pre-pandemic levels,” Tracy said.<\/p>\n
“We are currently hiring and would like to add a couple more massage therapists to our team.”<\/p>\n
I then asked if Rave was franchised or had any silent partners involved.<\/p>\n
“We are locally owned and operated, we are not a franchise and do not have any silent partners or investors. We have been married over 20 years, Ted grew up in St. Vital and (Tracy is) from Beausejour.”<\/p>\n
Tracy dropped a few other tidbits along the way…<\/p>\n
“All of our therapists customize your massage based on a consultation and assessment with you at the start of your treatment. The majority of our clientele book one-hour appointments and attend for therapeutic treatments such as pain and stress relief, or rehabilitation from an injury.”<\/p>\n
And, finally, here’s the last word from Tracy:<\/p>\n
“We have a fabulous team of employees and we are very proud of how they have adapted to all of the challenges that the pandemic has brought this past year.<\/p>\n
“They have gone above and beyond in doing their utmost to protect the health and safety of both their co-workers and clients. We would also like to thank the St. Vital community for their support because as a small business we truly appreciate it.” <\/p>\n
