This month, Winnipeg entrepreneur and Royalwood resident Tunde Dada opened the first Canadian franchise of Fitness Machine Technicians.’<\/p>\n

The company specializes in the maintenance and repair of exercise equipment for both commercial and residential customers. If operates in more than 100 markets across the U.S. – and now Canada – and offers service, repairs and maintenance fora variety of exercise equipment in fitness centres, universities, high schools, hotels, apartment complexes, corporate gyms and private residences.<\/p>\n

Dada moved to Winnipeg with his family in 2016 from Nigeria, where he worked for over three decades in various sectors, including management and the corporate world. Passionate about fitness and exercise, Dada looks forward to providing a necessary service to businesses that rely on keeping their equipment up and running.<\/p>\n

“Winnipeg is an active community that relies on its fitness equipment (especially in the winter months) and I saw a need to provide this service to residents, gyms, apartment complexes, universities, and fitness centers across the city,” Dada said.<\/p>\n

“With more and more people returning to their routines, it’s important to make sure fitness equipment is running in top shape. I’m excited to provide a much-needed service in my community where customer service will be of utmost importance to me as I lead the expansion of Fitness Machine Technicians into Canada.”  <\/p>\n

Dada will work with a team of trained local technicians and expand as the need increases. Throughout the pandemic, technicians will take extra precautions by wearing face masks, shoe covers, and gloves, and using disinfectant wipes when servicing equipment.  <\/p>\n

“Being the first Canadian franchisee, I’m really encouraged by the success demonstrated by existing franchisees and the support I’ve received from each franchise owner in the U.S. It’s helped a newcomer like me take my business off the ground confidently.<\/p>\n

Dada is working on establishing a strong customer base in Winnipeg and surrounding area, in the hopes of increasing the number of technicians hired locally.  <\/p>\n
