The giant Blue Streak slide was added a few years ago and is back to operational after being pushed over and beat up in the flood waters of last spring. Another set of two-tiered snow slides, called Snow-Mountain, have a been added this year as well as a completely new set of snow buildings such as an ‘underwater room’, ‘elephant room’ and Hobbit-themed rooms. The maze itself features a movie theatre sponsored by Travel Manitoba which shows Canadian movies and vignettes.<\/p>\n
These all sound amazing and, in addition, I’m really looking forward to checking out a set of snow structures connected to form one very large snow room — the Snow Pavilion.<\/p>\n
In this Snow Pavilion, The Den Bistro will be an extravagant ice restaurant with seating for up to 100. Meals and drinks, served on large ice tables, will be catered by Wow Entertainment in association with 529 Wellington. To top it off, there will be a snow stage with live entertainment connected to, back by popular demand, the snow bar, which is sponsored by Patent 5, a Manitoba spirits producer. One Great City Brewing has also created a custom brew called Snow Maze Cream Ale! Sounds awesome!<\/p>\n
