It is projected to contain 760 living units spread out over 18 acres of land, located between West Kildonan and the Perimeter Highway, a five-minute drive, roughly, from the R.M. of West St. Paul.

The units are to be divided between six residential buildings — four five-storeys tall and two eight-storey structures. The plans also call for 1,160 parking spaces, private roads between the buildings, and greenspaces.

Supplied image

The Lord Selkirk-West Kildonan community committee approved plans for a huge, 760-unit residential building close to the perimetre last week.

The land was originally meant for agricultural use, expanding the urban presence of the area and the city.

Initial planning for this project has taken years, committee members remarked.
