Supporting local businesses is always important for our community. With everything happening south of the border and with the threat of tariffs looming, ensuring we are doing our part to frequent locally owned shops is critical.<\/p>\n

I recently visited Riel’s own Hoffmann’s Fine Foods and Sizzling Dhaba Restaurant. These are just two examples of the incredible quality of businesses that can be found right here in our neighbourhood. Hoffmann’s, a family-run operation located at 1504 St. Mary’s Rd., crafts delicious homemade food products using local ingredients. Sizzling Dhaba, a family-owned Indian restaurant at 628 St. Anne’s Rd., brings authentic flavors and warm hospitality to our community. These establishments represent the diverse and vibrant food scene that makes our Riel community special.<\/p>\n

Local businesses aren’t just shops – they’re gathering places where neighbours meet and where memories are made. They create local jobs and help build lasting connections. When we support local businesses, we are investing in the future of our neighbourhoods and helping maintain their unique character.<\/p>\n

Riel MLA Mike Moyes recently visited Hoffman’s Fine Food on St. Mary’s Road, one of the many local businesses that help us define who we are and how we live.<\/p><\/figcaption>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/figure>\n

During my visits, I saw not just exceptional food, but the dedicated spirit of Manitoba business owners who are the cornerstone of our local economy and help make our province special. The warmth and hospitality I experienced during my visits remind me of the personal touch that local businesses bring to our daily lives. Through challenging times, these establishments have adapted and continue to serve our community with pride.<\/p>\n

Each establishment has its own story, its own traditions, and its own way of contributing to our community’s identity. By choosing to shop local, you’re not just making a purchase – you’re supporting our neighbours and helping build a stronger more connected Manitoba. I encourage all residents of Riel to remember to buy local to support our great province.<\/p>
