Dreyson Frazer plays at the premier level for Bonivital Soccer Club.<\/p><\/figcaption>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/figure>\n
“I love soccer because it allows me to participate in team sports, and I like how it tests my physical abilities as well as my technical skills. Being part of the soccer community is something I really value. My coaches at Bonivital are very supportive and are always encouraging us to try harder and challenge ourselves.<\/p>\n
“My teammates are a great group of guys on and off the pitch, too. They are all very talented and many of us have formed lifelong friendships. We’ve had our sets of challenges throughout our years of soccer, but we’ve always found ways to work through them,” he said.<\/p>\n
Dreyson started golfing this past summer, and said he enjoys the game and plans to continue in the coming golf season.<\/p>\n
Dreyson lives in Sage Creek with his mom Dana, dad Shane, older sister Caliyah, and younger brother Quinton.<\/p>\n
“I appreciate all the early mornings, late-night practices, and the time spent driving me around and cheering me on,” he said. “I’m grateful for the money they’ve invested in travel, extra training, and practice, which has really helped me grow as a player. They are always there to support me.”<\/p>\n
Dreyson’s goal is to play soccer at a university or college after high school, so he knows he must continue to pay attention to his schoolwork.<\/p>\n
“I really enjoy school, and my favourite class right now is geography because it’s fun to do group projects and learn about history and our world,” he said.<\/p>\n
Dreyson has this advice for young athletes:<\/p>\n
“It’s important to ignore negative comments that may come from others and to not let words impact your performance. Keep working hard and enjoy this time because one minute you are playing in the minis league and the next thing you know you are two years away from graduating out of youth soccer.”<\/p>
