If you’ve ever wanted to relive the most cringeworthy and awkward moments of your high school years, Here Together has got you covered — but unlike high school, this 60-minute drama doesn’t get any better over time.
Winnipeg's Autonomous Productions tells the story of four friends who are all in the middle of some undefined conflict during a wedding reception. What they’re all fighting about, or why we should care about any of them, is never explained.
With nobody to root for, the audience is left cringing through a series of toxic encounters where nobody comes out looking good.
Clunky dialogue delivered without any emotion drags down the performance, as well as throwaway plot points that never lead anywhere.
The script isn’t helped by a confusing narrative timeline and multiple choreographed sequences that feel drastically out of place.

Reset. Scene One. An outdoor wedding. Eve and Laura are fighting again, and Gabe and Toby don't know why. This night should be perfect.
Reset. Scene one. From the writer/producer of Family Dinner ('18, 4 STARS - CBC) comes Here Together, a surreal exploration of friendship and isolation.
