In 60 minutes, this young actor recaps his very recent early years hopping from temp job to temp job while working for the break that will kickstart his own career.
MacKinnon is a polished and engaging raconteur. In Lights! Camera! Odd Jobs? the non-thespian gigs are interspersed between the auditions, the workshops and the roles, and he mines it all for laughs. He knows that this is all part of the life and not only accepts, but seems to gratefully seek out the important life lessons that come with it. And he shares it all without a hint of self-aggrandizement or preaching.
