Local improv duo the Probable Cast is on a journey to unpack why it is we love our fair city so much.
Each day, a new noteworthy Winnipegger joins the cast to share Winnipeg-centric stories which are then interpreted by the improv actors in a series of sketches.
On this day, Stephen Sim and Caity Curtis from the Probable Cast were joined by fellow fringe performer Chris Gibbs (Not Quite Sherlock), as well as their special guest of the day, Kevin McDonald of The Kids in the Hall fame.
McDonald’s stories, while hilarious, didn’t have a ton to do with Winnipeg, but the sketches that were created as a result of them were packed with gut-busting laughs and very deft, clever work from each of the three improv performers. Their years in the biz show in the best way, as sketches were clean and concise, but always carried a punch.
Obviously every day will be different, making One Great Winnipeg definitely worth a repeat visit.
