When an environmental apocalypse looms, mankind pins its hopes on Space Hippo in this whimsical 60-minute comedy from Winnipeg writer and shadow-puppetmaster Daniel Wishes and partner Seri Yanai.
Accompanied by composer/musician Elliott Loran’s outstanding opening song and soundtrack, the duo take us on an incredible journey as Space Hippo rockets off on a mission to avert global cataclysm. Along the way, she encounters warring aliens, profound love and unexpected humanity from a robot and a bluesy Lizard Man.
Smart, poignant satire with a great big soul, it’s an enchanting cautionary tale.

The scientists weren't lying. Earth is really dying.
A Hippo in space?! A solution to erase, what we have done.
Together, we will stop the sun. Space Hippo, you're the only one.
That can sail across the universe. Help us save the planet Earth.
Hilarious and epic science fiction experienced through live animation, with an original score by Elliott Loran (Snack Music).
