The St. Mary’s Academy Flames girls hockey team snagged a major victory over the weekend, capturing the U19 2014 Detroit Two Nations College Series Cup with a 4-0-1 record.

The Flames capped off the tournament by shutting out the famous Shattuck-St. Mary’s prep squad of Minnesota 2-0. Through five games, the Flames outscored their opponents 14-4.

“The team worked hard and played very well as a unit,” Flames head coach Larry Bumstead said in a statement.
