Former Bomber Hunt makes Eagles roster

REGINA -- Former Winnipeg Blue Bombers defensive end -- and the 2010 CFL sack leader -- Phillip Hunt made the 53-man roster of the Philadelphia Eagles on Saturday.

Hunt, who had three sacks in four pre-season games, played his way on to the Eagles roster, said Philadelphia GM Howie Roseman, who had to submit his 53-man roster by 6 p.m. Saturday.

"This is a guy that every game he played was making an impact rushing the passer," Roseman said of Hunt.

With the addition of Hunt to the Eagles roster, the club had to release a former third-round draft pick in Daniel Te’o-Nesheim to make room. "It was no sleight on Te’o," said Roseman, "but more about the camp Philip Hunt had."
