CFL commish awards Winnipeg 2015 Grey Cup

Hey there, time traveller!
This article was published 26/3/2014 (2253 days ago), so information in it may no longer be current.

The CFL is set to award the Blue Bombers the 2015 Grey Cup.

CFL commissioner Mark Cohon is in town this morning for a press conference at Investors Group Field at 11:45 a.m.

Bombers president and CEO Wade Miller and premier Greg Selinger are also taking part.

The Bombers were promised a Grey Cup by the CFL when they broke ground on Investors Group Field.

One stumbling block to the event is an enclosed press box at the new stadium. Cohon visited the park last summer and stated the Bombers would have to convert the open-air press box before being granted a Grey Cup. This remains a work in progress but is expected to be finished soon.

The Free Press will be live streaming the press conference beginning at 11:45 a.m.
