Argos release ex-Bomber Brink

The Toronto Argonauts have released former Blue Bombers quarterback Alex Brink.

The Argonauts announced it Thursday on the team's website.

The release of Brink, 27, came after the Argos announced the signing of import quarterback Mitchell Gale, 23, from Abilene Christian.

Brink was a backup QB for the Bombers from 2010 to 2012. The Washington State product was released by the Bombers in April.
