About the Jets

The Jets (17-14-5) are coming off a convincing 4-1 win in Colorado Tuesday night... Winnipeg has won seven of its last 10 home games, but hasn't put together back-to-back wins in three weeks... The Jets are 12-6-1 at home... Defenceman Dustin Byfuglien was a late scratch in Denver with a lower body injury. An update on his status is expected today.. Mark Flood took his spot; his first action in four games... Winger Evander Kane leads the team with 17 goals and 28 points. He's just two goals off his career high (19)... Bryan Little (currently out of the lineup with a foot injury) and Andrew Ladd have 11 goals each... Winnipeg is averaging 2.75 goals per game, good for 12th in he NHL. On the flip side, the Jets are giving up an average of 2.86 goals per contest (18th).

About the Kings

Los Angeles played in Chicago Wednesday night and were schedule to arrive in Winnipeg early this morning. Coming into that game, the Kings sported a 17-14-5 record and were 4-5-1 in their last 10 games... On top of that, the club was 2-0-1 under new head coach Darryl Sutter... Los Angeles is 1-2-2 in the second half of back-to-back games... Winger Simon Gagne (concussion) was placed on injured reserve this week... Coming into Wednesday, Anze Kopitar leads the Kings with 34 points. He has 10 goals, but hasn't scored since Nov. 22... Fellow centre Mike Richards, a Kenora, Ont., product, leads the club with 13 goals despite missing eight games... Goaltender Jonathan Quick has seen the bulk of the workload; his 2.15 goals against average and .927 save percentage are among the best in the NHL.
