Joel Eriksson Ek completed a hat-trick with the winner at 3:30 of the extra session, with Jets defenceman Josh Morrissey serving a holding penalty.

The Jets remain winless (0-2-1), while the Wild are 3-0-0.

Winnipeg was up 5-4 and looked to salt this one away with an empty-netter by Mark Scheifele, however, the Wild made a successful challenge that Kyle Connor was off-side on the play.

Ek then tied the game 5-5 with 59 seconds left.
