Ryan Hartman, Mats Zuccarello and Jon Merrill all scored in the middle frame to give the Minnesota Wild a commanding 5-0 lead. The home team also outshot the Jets 21-6 in the period.

Zuccarello and Alex Goligoski scored in the opening frame.

Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck was given the hook after the fourth goal, with backup Eric Comrie taking over.

The Jets fly to Calgary after the game where they wrap up this road trip on Saturday night against the Flames.
