Canucks edge Jets 2-1 in final Young Stars Classic game

PENTICTON, B.C. -- Hunter Shinkaruk's power-play goal with seven minutes to play was the difference as the Vancouver Canucks edged the Winnipeg Jets 2-1 in today's Canucks Young Stars Classic game at the South Okanagan Events Centre.

The Canucks finished the tournament 3-1. The Jets were 2-1.

The Jets had a 32-23 advantage in shots on goal today but had little luck beating Canucks prospect goalie Joacim Eriksson.

Austen Brassard had Winnipeg's only goal today.
