Pregame

The NHL's Heritage Classic outdoor game between the Winnipeg Jets and Edmonton Oilers began at approximately 3:53 p.m. after close to a two-hour delay due to worries about visibility.

Glare from intermittent sunlight caused concern for the safety of players.

The game was originally slated to begin at 2 p.m. The pre-game warmup is now scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.

It is third delay due to weather conditions at Investors Group Field in 2016. The CFL's Winnipeg Blue Bombers have experienced delays to two home games this season caused by lightning.
