THE Winnipeg Jets will have a new ECHL affiliate next season.

The club announced Monday that they and the Colorado Eagles have mutually agreed to end their ECHL affiliation, which had been in effect since the Jets relocated from Atlanta for the 2011-12 season.

"We would like to thank both the Winnipeg Jets and the St. John's Ice Caps for their efforts and assistance during the last two years," said Eagles President/General Manager, Chris Stewart in a statement. "The Jets and the IceCaps provided the Colorado Eagles with some very dynamic young players whose contributions both on the ice and in the community were fantastic. We appreciate our relationship with the Jets and the IceCaps and our dealings with them were nothing but first-class."
