Jets at Blue Jackets

Tonight, 6 p.m. Nationwide Arena

On the air: TSN Jets, TSN 1290

ABOUT THE BLUE JACKETS

  • Columbus comes into tonight's game off a 4-3 overtime loss to the St. Louis Blues on Saturday. The Blue Jackets had won four in a row on their own ice prior to that setback, in which they blew a 3-1 first-period lead.
  • The Blue Jackets and Jets have not met since the 2011-12 season when the Jets lost their only meeting, in Columbus, by a score of 2-1.
  • The Blue Jackets have 15 players on their team that have less than 300 games of NHL experience each. The team's average age, 26.2, is the youngest in the league.
  • Under coach Todd Richards, the Jackets were a perfect 36 for 36 when leading after two periods until Saturday night, when the Blues put a stop to that streak.
  • Star RW Marian Gaborik has been on the IR since mid-November with a knee injury; G Sergei Bobrovsky was placed on the IR in early December because of a groin injury and is expected to be out into the new year.
