The Broadway Blueshirts, 5-4-0 to start the season, have been off since rallying to beat the Minnesota Wild 5-4 on Monday. The Rangers came back from a 3-0 second-period deficit -- and 4-2 in the third -- with five goals in the final 20 minutes to pick up the win.

The Monday rally marked the first time the Rangers have overcome at least a three-goal deficit entering the third period since Feb. 21, 1992 when -- coincidentally -- they pulled the same feat against the Minnesota North Stars.

Rangers defenceman John Moore won't be available against the Jets and the four following games, after being given a five-game suspension by the NHL on Wednesday for his hit to the head of Wild forward Erik Haula. Moore is a repeat offender who missed two playoff games last spring and he forks over $51,859.75 in salary.

Former Manitoba Moose boss Alain Vigneault, now the Rangers head coach, is three games shy of coaching his 900th NHL contest.

Rick Nash leads the Rangers with nine goals and 11 points -- he had 26 goals all of last year. According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Nash is the first player in franchise history to tally a goal in six of the first seven games of a season.
