ST. LOUIS (AP) — Dmitri Voronkov scored early in the third period and the Columbus Blue Jackets snapped the St. Louis Blues’ season-high five-game winning streak with a 1-0 National Hockey League victory on Tuesday night.
Voronkov buried a one-timer off a feed from Zach Werenski on an odd-man rush at 4:11 of the third. Elvis Merzlikins made 21 saves for his 10th career shutout and first in 95 games since blanking Carolina in January 2022.
It was also Columbus’ first shutout since that game.
Jordan Binnington made 21 saves for the Blues, who lost both meetings with the Blue Jackets this season.

Blackwood earned his first shutout since December 2021 with New Jersey. It was San Jose’s first shutout of the season.
Joey Daccord stopped 20 shots in defeat.
