Team is now 5-9-3 after Satiurday's 2-1 loss in Columbus...Jets have played just five home games versus 12 road games, but opens a three-game homestand tonight... In Saturday's loss at last-place Columbus, the Jets were perfect on the penalty kill (4 for 4) for only the fifth time this season...LW Jason Jaffray and D Arturs Kulda were recalled from AHL St. John's on Sunday....The Jets and Lightning have played once this season, a 1-0 Lightning victory in Florida on Oct. 29.

Tampa Bay is 8-6-2 heading into tonight's contest, coming off Saturday's 3-0 blanking in St. Louis in which it had just 19 shots on goal...Head coach Guy Boucher gave his team Sunday off in Winnipeg. He agreed to meet with reporters but made it clear he would not discuss the Lightning's headline-making 1-3-1 defensive scheme. That tactic was the subject of much debate after last Wednesday's 2-1 win over Philadelphia...C Steven Stamkos leads his team with 10 goals.
