Niverville council has permitted a business owner to package cannabis in town in partnership with a grower located across the street.

Graham Taylor received approval to operate an agro-processing facility as an extension of Rogue Botanical in Niverville’s business park. Taylor said during his comments he will be packaging the product which comes from Rogue using an automated system before sending the finished product out to other businesses.

Taylor said the facility would be secure, with no walk-up customers to the 3,200 sq. ft. building. The application came with no written or verbal objections from council or residents.

After receiving unanimous approval for the business, Coun. Nathan Dueck wished Taylor well in the future.

“I’m fully there to support any small business that moves into the community, so thank you so much for making these small little investments because these small little investments are growing a lot of traction.”
