Wanted man armed and dangerous: RCMP

Steinbach RCMP are searching for a man wanted on three outstanding warrants who evaded arrest over the Thanksgiving weekend.
Jordan Friesen, 26, was pulled over on Main Street in Steinbach at 3:40 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9.
The traffic stop was part of an ongoing investigation. Friesen was told he was under arrest but he assaulted an officer and fled the scene, RCMP said in a release.
The detachment is requesting the public’s assistance in locating Friesen, but advise he is considered armed and dangerous, and should not be approached. Anyone who sees Friesen is asked to call police immediately.
Friesen is Caucasian, stands five feet and eight inches tall, weighs 172 pounds, and has brown hair and brown eyes.
He is charged with flight from police, assaulting a police officer, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failing to stop after an accident, driving while prohibited, theft of a motor vehicle, theft over $5,000, and break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence.
