Community leaders will be settling in for a night under the stars as the annual CEO Sleepout is held tomorrow at K.R. Barkman Park.
A total of 53 community leaders will be participating in the year event which is held yearly as a fundraiser for local homeless shelter, Today House.
Participants will be in the park from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. on Friday morning with the aim of creating awareness and understanding about the experience of vulnerable people in the community.
Michael Redhead Champagne will be a guest speaker at the evening. Champagne, known for his community work in Winnipeg’s North End, has recently been recognized as the 2016 Canadian Red Cross Young Humanitarian of the Year.
Participants will be raising funds towards Today House. More information on how to contribute to Today House can be found at their website, todayhouse.ca.
