Not everyone needs a reason to rock but having a reason doesn’t hurt either.
Rockin’ for a Reason 2.0 arrives at the Neufeld Garage in Randolph on Saturday night.
The event, a fundraiser for Today House and Steinbach Community Outreach, will feature entertainment from Jordan St Cyr as well as RBB.
Last year’s inaugural event raised $15,000 and one of organizers, Steve Neufeld, hopes this year’s event will generate even more success.
"People have a social conscience," Neufeld said. "You combine that with a good time and good cause…it’s just a good fit."
Sponsorship means that tables for the event are already sold out. An appeal for the two agencies will also be made at the event, so, Neufeld says that speaking about the event more is all about bringing awareness to the two groups and how they fill a need in the community.
As Steinbach grows, Neufeld says the percentage of people battling issues of homelessness grows too and organizations like Today House and Steinbach Community Outreach help respond to those needs.
