RCMP closed all four lanes of Highway 52 for several hours to investigate an early-morning rollover in Mitchell that injured an 18-year-old man.
Steinbach RCMP were called just after 1 a.m. Tuesday to a silver sedan that had rolled on Highway 52 near the Centre Street North intersection.
The driver, who hails from the RM of Ste Anne, was travelling alone and had been ejected from the vehicle, a Manitoba RCMP spokesperson said. He was taken to hospital in Winnipeg with serious injuries.
RCMP dispatched a forensic collision reconstructionist and a criminal collision investigative team to the scene.
The Hanover Fire Department directed traffic and swept up debris while RCMP personnel investigated the incident.
