Mounties seek male who robbed Souris store

Mounties are searching for a masked male who robbed a Souris store at gunpoint Monday night.

RCMP were sent to the business on First Street South at about 8:45 p.m. after a male armed with a handgun demanded cash and cigarettes from behind the counter, then ran away.

The robber was described as about 5-6 in height. He wore a dark hoodie and coat, a balaclava and ski goggles.

Mounties asked anyone with video footage between Crescent Manor and Highway 2 — including Second and Third streets, and First and Crescent avenues — to call the Souris detachment at 204-483-2854.
