Sea Bears release their CEBL schedule

Winnipeg’s fledgling pro basketball squad will make its debut on home court.

The expansion Winnipeg Sea Bears of the Canadian Elite Basketball League will host the Vancouver Bandits on Saturday, May 27 at 7 p.m. at Canada Life Centre. The team plays its next four contests on the road, with stops in Brampton, Ont., against the 2022 league-champion Honey Badgers, the Scarborough (Ont.) Shooting Stars, the Bandits and the Saskatchewan (Saskatoon) Rattlers.

The CEBL’s 10 teams are divided into a pair of conferences. The Western Conference includes the Winnipeg, Saskatchewan, Vancouver, Calgary Surge and Edmonton Stingers. The Eastern Conference includes Brampton, Scarborough, Montréal Alliance, Niagara River (St. Catharines, Ont.) Lions and Ottawa BlackJacks. Each club plays 10 home games and 10 on the road.

Season ticket deposits for the Sea Bears are now being accepted at seabears.ca. Single-game ticket prices start at $25 per game.
