Fundraiser to help fight against diabetes, win Jets tickets

If you have an appetite to help the fight against diabetes, this could be the event for you.

The upcoming Boston Pizza Booster fundraiser, in support of Team Diabetes, will be held at the Boston Pizza in St. Vital (1919 Bishop Grandin Blvd.) on Wed., March 20 from 6 to 9 p.m.

Organizers say the evening will feature a silent auction table with prizes including Winnipeg Jets tickets to the home game against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Sun., March 24.

All proceeds will go to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Team Diabetes is the association’s activity fundraising program that promotes a healthy and active lifestyle and raises funds for education and services, while advocating for a cure for diabetes.
