Occupation: City councillor, father and formerly an entrepreneur running a conflict management company.

Councillor experience, if applicable: Orlikow has been on city council since 2010. He’s sat on the property development committee and finance committee. He is the current chair of the citizen equity committee. Before becoming councillor he served as a school trustee for Winnipeg School Division Ward 1.

Why he’s running: “To carry on some of the great work being done in the neighbourhood, to keep enhancing and protecting the green space, and to get the Waverley underpass built in a way that will direct traffic out of the neighbourhood,” Orlikow said. “I like it. It’s an incredible job where you get to connect with people.” Orlikow also said he is committed to building a twin arena in the area.

Taz Stuart

Why he’s running: Stuart said he enjoyed working in civic office and wouldn’t have done so for 21 years otherwise.

“All the experience from the inside will benefit me as an elected official. I’ve been through multiple years of designing, assessing, and putting the tools and resources in the hands of front line workers,” Stuart said.
