The countdown begins …
2014 marks the 100th year since the incorporation of the Rural Municipality of Cartier and events are being planned to celebrate this occasion. Reserve the weekend of June 13 and 14, 2014 to attend this 100th birthday of Cartier. During this countdown to the Centennial Celebration, articles will be printed in The Headliner to highlight various aspects of the RM of Cartier — past, present and future.

CALLING ALL CARTIER FAMILIES & BUSINESSES!
Treasures of Time: The Rural Municipality of Cartier was completed in 1984. Now, the Rural Municipality of Cartier is preparing an update to the book, covering the years 1985-2014 to bring our printed history up to date for our centennial year.
Your help is needed to make this book a reality. You can do this by submitting your family story, your memoirs or your business history along with any and all photos to be included in the book.
If you don’t know where to start or what to write, there are templates available for you on the RM website and at the RM office.
The book will only be as good as the contributions received, so please get yours in today!
The deadline for family stories is Friday, Jan. 31, 2014. The deadline for business stories is Friday, Feb. 28, 2014.
All contributions may be submitted by email to: cartierhistory@mymts.net or dropped off in person at the RM office.
